The Happy Marriage
How to love happily ever after

Hey Love Futurists ;-)
I’m excited to announce that this past weekend I published my guide for newlyweds called The Happy Marriage: How to Love Happily Ever After.
My intention was to create a guide with a simple and profound framework for considering the most fundamental concepts in a happy marriage. I begin with the epigraph:
“There is no way to happiness, happiness is the way.” — Thich Nhat Hanh
Because truly, what I wish to convey is that happiness is an inside job. It is a state of being—and a practice—that you must cultivate through your own will. So having a happy marriage begins with you making the right internal choices for your own peace of mind.
This guide has 7 chapters, each with a short but (hopefully) powerful explanation of an essential concept to help you build a happy marriage:
Attachment
Emotions
Listening
Communication
Paradox
Change
Letting Go
Attachment is an important word only because our bonds with the people we love have been so deeply disrupted and damaged that we now need a word to describe what it is to be close, connected, and securely bonded.
Emotions are like a constant temperature gauge—a very personal perception of our reality. Knowing how to engage in emotional expression and experience is paramount to positive relationships.
Listening is my favorite. It’s not just about hearing someone’s words, but truly understanding them.
Communication is the shared reality we create with others.
Paradox is fun because it reminds us that we can hate and love at the same time—and that is part of being human. Don’t take either one too seriously ;-)
Change ..ohhhh change. How I wish so deeply that we as humans had a little more or a little less resilience. We can adapt to so much. However—is the way we’re adapting generative or destructive?
Letting go may be my second favorite concept in relationships—or maybe it’s tied with Listening. I need you to not cling. I need you to allow. I need more acceptance and forgiveness.
That’s a little taste of what’s in the book. To read more and support me as an independent writer and publisher, you can buy my book from any one of these sites:
THANK YOU!!
Sending love,
Lindsay
